The Grand Final of the 2009 Banks and Brokers Golf Championship took place in glorious sunshine at Woburn Golf Club on Friday 18th September.
The competition was over 18 holes on the superb Marquess course. City rivals ICAP and Tradition battled it out for the top spot with Thomson Reuters and City Golf & Health Clubs not lagging too far behind them. Tradition managed to sneak through and win the prestigious title with an excellent score of 79 points followed by ICAP in second place with 76 points, Thomson Reuters third with 72 points and City Golf & Health clubs finishing fourth with 61 points.
Spencer Gordon playing for team Tradition had the best individual stableford score on the day with 35 points. Jason Cooper (Tradition) won the longest drive prize and Veronique Veekamp from the City Golf & Health Clubs team secured the nearest the pin prize.
